Winter Weather Advisory in effect for all of mid-Michigan
Four Winter Weather Advisories have been issued across mid-Michigan for Thursday night.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Clare, Isabella and Gratiot counties of mid-Michigan until 1 p.m. Friday.
Snow with some rain or freezing precipitation is expected this afternoon, tonight and Friday morning.
Expect slippery roads and occasionally reduced visibilities, including during the evening and Friday's morning commute.
Snowfall of 1 to 4 inches will be possible across the advisory with the chance of some glazing on area roadways.
Another Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Ogemaw, Iosco, Gladwin and Arenac counties until 12 p.m. Friday.
Snowfall of 3 to 5 inches will be possible within the advisory creating poor driving conditions and poor visibilities.
Our third Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Midland, Bay, Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac counties of mid-Michigan until 10 a.m. Friday.
Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches will create slippery road conditions and poor visibilities.
There will be persistent snowfall Thursday night with a break in the snow overnight, a second round Friday morning will add another inch to snow totals.
The last Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Saginaw, Shiawassee, Genesee and Lapeer counties from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.
A mix of snow and possible freezing drizzle is expected creating difficult driving conditions during the Friday morning commute.
Wet snow accumulations up to an inch are forecast within the advisory area.
Drivers should anticipated slippery roads and poor visibility.
