Path to Greatness: Alex Doty's leg leads to leadership at Dow

In June of 2016, Dow's Alex Doty tore his ACL, MCL and broke his shin in a summer 7 on 7 game, effectively ending his junior season before it even began. But that's actually when things started for Doty, who rehabbed all season long, but also stayed engaged in the program. He not only went to practice, he participated, doing whatever he could to help the team. Because of that, he gained more respect from his teammates, which helped make him a captain as a senior. Back at full strength in July of 2017, Doty is a leader not only off the field, but on it as well for the Dow Chargers. He says he learned a lot about himself during his year on the sidelines, and going through that adversity will help him in the future.
