Spartans basketball makes statement on and off court in season opener

The Spartans basketball team made a statement with their 98-64 win over North Florida, but also made a statement prior to tip-off. The team, joined by Tom Izzo and the coaching staff, wore specific shirts aimed towards standing against social injustice. The front of the shirt said "We talk, we listen" while the back read "It's not about me, it's about us." The entire team stood during the national anthem. The team said it wasn't a protest, but their way of showing support.
