Racing into the Weekend: How the small town of Byron prepared Erik Jones for the big stage


Erik Jones was raised in Byron, Michigan, a small town of less than 600 people. However, he is not only proud of his roots, but also credits his racing success to how he was raised. A big part of that was the role his father had in his career before he passed away from cancer in 2016. A win at Michigan International Speedway in the Firekeepers Casino 400 would mean more than just a NASCAR Cup Series win, but a win in tribute to his father.
