Snow Hacks: Using everyday items to rid your car of snow and ice

Sometimes you find yourself without the essentials needed in everyday life. This happens especially in winter just when you think you're ready for the first blast of snow, but you don't have a scraper or windshield wiper fluid etc..

Here are a few hacks to help get the winter elements off your car.

1. Use a credit card to scrape snow, ice or frost off your window.

2. Have ice jamming up your car locks? The alcohol in hand sanitizer, which helps thaw out your locks.

3. Spray cooking spray on the rubber seal to keep your doors from freezing shut.

4. Don't have a scraper for your windshield? Spray a three part vinegar, one part water mixture to thaw off your windshield.
