ST. IGNACE, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Many of us cross The Mighty Mac every day but did you ever think you could own a piece of the iconic bridge for yourself? Well, now is your chance!

The Mackinac Bridge Authority is auctioning off a section of the original steel grating from the bridge's deck.

Seven individual, identical pieces of the grating are being sold.

The MBA said each piece is approximately 5 1/2 feet wide, 38 feet long and 5 inches deep.

Each piece weighs about two tons.

Even though most of the original lead-based paint is gone, buyers will have to sign a "Hold Harmless Agreement."

Bids started at $160.

The auction is being held online by GovDeals and ends April 19.
