FLINT, Mich. (AP) — The National Weather Service says the recent wintry weather helped the city of Flint set a seasonal snowfall record.

The National Weather Service reports an inch of sleet fell over the weekend at Bishop International Airport, bringing the snowfall total for the 2017-2018 season to 84.5 inches.

The previous record for Flint was 83.9 inches in the 2013-2014 season.

More snow is in the forecast this week in Flint, so the total for the 2017-2018 season could continue to rise.
