A local veteran is now the proud owner of a home.

Genesee County Habitat for Humanity dedicated the home in Flint Monday night. Marine Veteran and Flint native, George Grundy II, is the owner of the newly renovated home.

George spent four and a half years in Afghanistan and started a photography and gourmet pretzel business after he returned.

He will be running the businesses out of the lower level and will be living upstairs.

The GM Foundation donated 100,000 dollars to the project.

Workers from the company volunteered for hours to make the home a reality.
