UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. --Engineering students at Saginaw Valley State University are creating and working on some pretty neat projects for local companies this summer, including a wheelchair basketball shooter.

The students put their final works on display at the Summer Engineering Symposium on SVSU’s campus.

This is all designed to get the students off campus and into the working with real companies, to engineer prototypes.

Six different companies were on hand for the symposium, including Durolast, and Nexteer Automotive.
