UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. --Saginaw Valley State University is doing more training to try and prevent sexual assaults on campus.

The university received $25,000 from the state for its Bringing in the Bystander Program.

The program itself is not new to SVSU, but thanks to the extra cash, the school was able to fund training for 30 students and staff were trained as facilitators.

The plan is for that group to train at least 1,000 students by the end of 2018.
