Sheriff: Injured man crawls from scene following ejection rollover crash

SANILAC COUTY, Mich. --The Sanilac County Sheriff says a man who was injured in a rollover ejection crash crawled just over a quarter-mile from the scene of the accident to a home to ask for help.

The accident took place near Maple Valley Road just north of Wilcox Road just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigation shows that the 25-year-old man was heading southbound on Maple Valley Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle entered a ditch on the east side of the road and flipped onto its side.

The sheriff says the man wasn’t wearing a seatbelt , and that the vehicle’s airbags didn’t deploy, and that alcohol is believed to be a factor.
