Police: Man had medical emergency at time of double fatal car crash in Tittabawassee Twp.

TITTABAWASSEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Police say an autopsy reveals that 68-year-old Marc Bingham was having a heart attack at the time of a 2-car crash accident just before 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

Bingham's vehicle was driving westbound on Vasold Road and did not stop at a stop sign crashing into a vehicle traveling northbound on Gleaner Road.

Baliee Mantei, 14 was in the passenger seat of the northbound vehicle and died of her injuries.

Her father, Matthew was driving the vehicle.

Since the accident, Mantei's family has created a scholarship in her honor.

Mantei was a freshman at Freeland High School who loved soccer and is being remembered as someone who could have put a smile on anyone's face.
