Police identify man shot, killed riding bike in Saginaw

Saginaw police have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred on Court Street between South Woodbridge and North Bates.

According to Saginaw Police 21-year-old Lorenzo Dewayne Jiles was shot and killed while riding his bike.

It happened at approximately 4:45 am at the Marathon gas station at that location.

Court Street was closed in the area of the shooting while the investigation continues.

The Major Crimes Unit consisting of Saginaw Police and Michigan State Police detectives are investigating this incident.

This is the 16th homicide in the city of Saginaw this year, according to police.
