BURTON, Mich. - A scary way to ring in 2018 for one mid- Michigan couple who had a bullet hit their car while at a party in downtown Flint.

John Ferchak and his girlfriend, Christina Kincaid, were about to head home from the New Year's Eve party at the Flint Farmers Market.

While he was warming up the car near the entrance, John heard a boom.

When John got out of the car, he noticed a bullet hole on the roof.

After speaking to security on scene, John and Christina called Flint Police and filed a police report.

Both are upset about the incident but happy it didn't end tragically.

We reached out to Flint Police about the case, they didn't respond in time for our news cast.
