New store coming to Bay City Town Center

BAY CITY, Mich -- The Bay City Town Center will be getting a "Big R" store.

The store will go in the location of the former Target building.

“Finding the right retailer for the former Target building has been a top priority for Lormax Stern since the store closed in 2015.” Said Barbara Behmlander, General Manager of Bay City Town Center “This has been a key building to fill for the property and the Wilder Road corridor.”

Big R Stores has been family owned since it began serving the farm and home community in 1965. The company is headquartered in Watseka, Illinois, and operates 22 stores in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Big R sells farm supplies, seasonal items, apparel, pet products, sporting goods, houseware, tools, food and much more.

Many of the products are from name-brand companies such as Stihl, DeWalt, Milwaukee Tool, Under Armour, Levi Strauss, Cub Cadet and more.

Ollie's and PetSmart also became part of the Bay City Town Center.

Bay City Town Center is a 526,000-square-foot shopping center located at 4101 East Wilder Road in Bay City. Major stores include JCPenney, Marshalls, Dunham’s, PetSmart, Ollies, Bay City 10GDX
