Neighbors rally to help family after fire destroys home

It is hard to imagine a family losing nearly everything they have.

After a horrible fire this week though, that's exactly what happened to one Grand Blanc Township family.

On Tuesday night, while Keith Stone was at basketball practice with his son and the rest of his family, including his 6-week-old grandson, Krew, slept, flames began to take over the home.

He says a craving for a soda saved the family

Everyone escaped including the families two dogs and cats were also saved but the left with just the clothes on their backs.

That's when neighbors started helping out.

The Stones are staying a hotel nearby, they are still trying to figure out what they are going to do for Christmas, although they do have some family in the area.
