National Hug-A-Vet program comes to Saginaw
SAGINAW, Mich. - A national program, the Human Hug Project, came to Saginaw's Aleda E Lutz VA Medical Center Monday. The Human Hug Project partners with VA hospitals to help bring a smile to veterans' while they are going through treatment.
"Every hospital we go to, it's just smiles, and tears and laughter," says Human Hug Project co-founder and Marine veteran, Gino Greganti.
Greganti suffers from PTSD. He partnered up with another Marine and his wife, who both suffer from PTSD, to create the Human Hug Project.
So far the team has visited 53 hospitals but doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon.
