FLINT, Mich. - Veterans seeking assistance are now only a phone call away from getting additional help from the county.

Genesee County Commissioner David Martin announced a new grant service agreement between Legal Services of Eastern Michigan and Genesee County Department of Veterans Services.

The grant is for veterans needing assistance for home evictions and other services who may be just above the qualifying income.

"The issue is because they have served, and we want to honor that service. We don't want them to fall between a crack, because of an income or age requirement," said Genesee County board member David W. Martin.

This is just another service made possible by the Genesee County Veterans Millage.
