GRAND BLANC, Mich. - Wednesday was not a bad day to be stuck on a roof, especially for a good cause.

In Grand Blanc, it looked more like a party on the top of the McDonalds on South Saginaw Street.

The CEO of Whaley Children's Center is camped out there along with local CARS 108 radio hosts to raise money and awareness.

Whaley provides a safe haven in Flint for children who are healing after experiencing trauma such as physical and sexual abuse.

“We need this event to give our kids the back to school they deserve, there's just something to be said for walking into school that first day with a fresh new outfit and a new pair of shoes to set the tone,” said Mindy Brusa of Whaley Children's Center.

The Cars 108 roof sit in will continue through Friday.

The goal is to raise $25,000.
