The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for much of Mid-Michigan effective through Friday.
Those areas under the Flood Watch are our central and northern counties.
Snow melt resulting from very warm temperatures along with scattered rain expected throughout Thursday will lead to runoff.
Water levels in area creeks, streams and rivers are expected to rise, possibly to or above flood stage.
Those areas prone to flooding are likely to experience localized flooding for a period of time as heavy downpours pass through Mid-Michigan.
