Michigan State Police say a Fenton man is accused of using social media to get pornographic photos from minors, according to a court document.

According to the criminal complaint in Flint District Court, 46-year-old, Ray Matthew Moore II used Facebook to solicit girls for pornographic photos. Michigan State Police was investigating cyber-tips submitted in July 2017 to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children by Facebook.

Moore is accused of creating four different Facebook accounts to solicit girls for nude photos, even going as far as to requesting specific nude images from the girls.

According to the criminal complaint, Moore used a Facebook profile photo depicting a younger looking male that would lead someone to believe he was a high school age.

On Aug. 28, MSP subpoena Charter Communications Inc for the IP address and communication records, according to the criminal complaint. MSP learned the IP address belonged to Moore and a search warrant was executed to his residence on Nov. 6.

Moore told police he knew the girls were under the age of 18 and confessed he knew he misrepresenting his name and age in order to get them to interact with him.

Moore is being charged with attempted production and production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Moore is due back in court Monday, Nov. 20.
