Crash knocks out power, driver not seriously hurt in Grand Blanc Township

GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police say a driver traveling southbound on Saginaw Street lost control and hit a power line in Grand Blanc Township. The power line fell over onto the SUV and across Saginaw Street pinning the driver inside their vehicle.

The crash took place right in front of the 5300 block of South Saginaw Street across from Rollhaven Skate & Fun Center.

The driver had to wait until Consumers Energy to arrive to be removed from the vehicle and the crash knocked out power to a local business next to the crash scene.

The road was shut down for an hour as crews cleaned up the scene.

The driver wasn’t seriously hurt according to Grand Blanc Township Police.
