WARREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. --An Alma teen is facing two counts of drugged driving causing death in connection with a crash that claimed the life of 16-year-old Amante Young.

The crash took place Sunday, May 21 in the area of North Coleman and West Shearer roads in Midland County’s Warren Township.

The Midland County Prosecutor's Office issued the felony counts against 19-year-old Koby Michael Lee on Nov. 1.

The police investigation indicates that Lee was driving southbound on North Coleman Road when his vehicle went off the road, struck an embankment and rolled over.

Young was the front seat passenger, and 18-year old Thomas Davis of Alma was the backseat passenger.

Prosecutors say Lee was under the influence of marijuana and another controlled substance at the time of the crash.
