UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Students and community leaders came together for the groundbreaking of a $25 million expansion at Saginaw Valley State University Monday.

The expansion of the Scott L. Carmona College of Business and Management is set to be finished in January of 2020.

The project will bring more space to both classrooms and office spaces.

Carmona, an SVSU alum, says this is a huge milestone for the campus.

"It's a huge achievement for our family and it's just exciting and very humbling quite frankly to do this but it's just a wonderful thing for the family," said Carmona.

The new space will include state-of-the-art technology like an analytics lab and even a Bloomberg trading room which tracks stock data in real time.
