FLINT, Mich-- The Ennis Center for Children, Whaley Advocacy Center and Weiss Center for Children are partnering up to raise awareness about child abuse in Genesee county and beyond.

Right now there are 2,600 confirmed cases of abuse in the county and one and six children in our nation have been sexually abused.

There are several event happening this month that are a part of the #PaintOurTownBlue campaign. Blue is the color associated with child abuse prevention.

On Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ennis Center for Children there will be a balloon release and on Friday the community is encouraged to wear blue.
