Kristen is originally from Chicago where her love for story telling was sparked at a young age. Her parents still have the first feature she wrote, titled 'My Life as a French Fry." After high school Kristen attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL where she was involved with the college newspaper, The Western Courier. She went back home for graduate school and received her master's degree from DePaul University in 2011 where she reported and anchored for the student run broadcast, Good Day DePaul. She also interned at Fox Chicago, WGN and Clear Channel.
Her first job out of school was at KHQA in Quincy, IL. There, Kristen worked her way up from a weekend reporter to morning anchor. During her time at KHQA she earned awards for her investigative and feature reporting from both the Missouri and Illinois Broadcasting Associations.
Kristen joined the NBC25/FOX66 family in September 2014 as the morning anchor. She's excited to wake you up every morning and make Michigan her new home. Outside of the newsroom you can find Kristen shopping at a Farmer's Market, rummaging through antique shops or looking for the best scenic trail to run. You can get to know Kristen by following her on social media or emailing her a story idea. She looks forward to meeting you!
