Hometown Hoops: Regular season winding down but on-court action heats up!
In our Hometown Hoops Game of the Week, the Saginaw Valley Lutheran girls upset Ithaca 39-35, who was previously unbeaten in conference play.
Elsewhere in the Tri-Valley, the Hemlock girls rallied in the fourth to beat MLS 45 to 39.
The Flushing boys improved to 16 and 1 with a 62-33 blistering of Clio.
The Byron girls played their most important game of the season as they battled Morrice for first place in the conference. It was a tight game throughout but Morrice came out on top 42-34.
The Fenton boys lost to Holly in embarrassing fashion earlier in the season but they came to play on Friday night. The Tigers win a hard fought battle 69-62. Meanwhile, the Holly girls won 55-42 over Fenton.
In Webberville the Spartans welcomed Bentley to town and coasted to an easy 58-15 win.
Carman-Ainsworth played a double header with Midland and the Chemics came away with some bumps and bruises. In the girls' game the Cavaliers won 71-42. The boys also won, this time by a score of 70-42.
The Flushing boys came into Friday night's action with a 15-1 record and they cruised to an easy win on the road at Clio. The Raiders take it 62-33.
The Dow girls continued to dominate, beating Bay City Western 62-36.
The Alma boys withstood a late charge from Carrollton, winning 69-58.
Reese and Bad Axe boys was no contest, the Rockets dominating 62-32.
