Hamady, Sacred Heart fall, M.L.S. advances to State Finals

The girl's state semifinals didn't disappoint on Thursday.

At the beginning of every season we've come to expect a lot from certain programs because they've had so much success in the past. The Hamady girl's basketball team is one of those programs and they came through once again advancing to the state semifinals against Detroit Edison. The game was over in a hurry however, Hamady shot just 8% from the field in the first half and they were down by 20 at halftime. The second half was better but they couldn't dig themselves out of the hole. Hamady falls 54-31.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary battled Engadine in the Class D state semifinals and the Cardinals were red hot from the field kncoking down 48% of their shots including five 3-pointers on the night. They were paced by Rylee Pankow who had 18 points and 6 rebounds as M.L.S. advances to the state finals with a 64-59 win. They will face Pittsford on Saturday after they beat Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart in their state semifinal match up 57-39.
