Saginaw Township police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a local credit union.

The robbery happened Monday, just after 2:30 p.m. at the Copoco Community Credit Union at 3262 S. Cabaret Trail.

A black male suspect, dressed like a woman, passed a note to and demanded money from the teller.

The suspect placed the money in a large brown purse and left the credit union.

He is believed to have entered an older tan or gold Dodge Caravan type vehicle driven by another black male who was parked on street north of the credit union before fleeing northbound.

The suspect who entered the credit union is described as being between 5 foot 7 inches to 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

He is believed to be in his mid-twenties and was last seen wearing a reddish brown wig with blonde highlights, a flower print hospital type scrub uniform top and black scrub pants.

The suspect also had a thin beard and moustache.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect and driver is urged to contact either Saginaw Township Police Department, Saginaw County Central Dispatch 911 or Saginaw County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
