Woman charged following death of tow truck driver in Bridgeport Township

SAGINAW, Mich. --Deeann Parsons, 49, of Bridgeport Township was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, according to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office.

Prosecutors say Parsons was driving back from a holiday party that was being held at the Bavarian Inn Lodge when she struck and killed 41-year-old Thomas Tripp.

Tripp, who was employed with Mike’s wrecker Service was loading a vehicle onto his truck at the time of the incident.

Parsons blood-alcohol level was at or above the legal limit at the time of the incident. She was then taken into custody.

Parsons’ bond was set at $25,000.
