Winter warm-up provides volunteer group with opportunity to beautify Flint-area homes
FLINT, Mich. --A local group in Flint took advantage of the warm weather to beautify houses.
There was one thought in mind: you don't need lots of money or tools to make a difference.
They went to several homes on the west side.
The do-gooders boarded up windows, cut down overgrown weeds, and cleaned up extra debris.
Volunteers were thrilled that people of all ages came together.
There will be more blight patrols in March along the river trails and the University Avenue corridor.
