Winter Storm Watch, Winter Weather Advisory issued for Mid-Michigan

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of Mid-Michigan.

Midland, Saginaw, Shiawassee, Genesee & Lapeer counties that will be in effect from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.

Heavy snow will be possible at times Wednesday which may affect the evening commute.

The heaviest snow is expected between I-69 and I-94 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Total snow fall accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 6 inches in those counties.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of Mid-Michigan that include Clare, Isabella & Gratiot counties

That advisory will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are forecast for those counties included in the advisory with higher totals in some western locations.

Drivers should anticipate slipper roads, poor visibility and traffic speeds slower than the posted speed limit.
