Vassar schools closed Friday due to illness
VASSAR, Mich. —
In the latest of a recent trend, Vassar schools will be closed Friday due to illness.
The school district announced classes were cancelled for Friday, February 17 because of influenza.
Custodial staff were reported to be disinfecting the building Thursday night.
Vassar joins other school districts such as Mt. Morris, Alcona, and Faith Lutheran on the list of closures due to illness.
One school, Faith Tabernacle, was closed due to two cases of scarlet fever.
Classes at Vassar schools will resume on Tuesday, after the President’s Day holiday on Monday.
