Tracking wind damage throughout Saginaw County
Saginaw Co., Mich-- On Thursday morning residents in Saginaw County were sill dealing with the aftermath of Wednesday's high winds.
Wind gusts reached nearly 70 mph in some areas. According to NBC25 Meteorologist, Ahmad Bajjey, Saginaw County was the hardest hit in all of Mid-Michigan.
Some of the worst hit areas our crews encountered were within the city limits.
At the intersection of Thompson and Jefferson there was a tree split in two and at the intersection of Perkins and 13th Street there were several downed lines and trees.
Our crews also went back out to Birch Run where the roof of the high school's auxiliary gym was severely damaged.
There was still debris scattered across the campus.
According to officials at the school roofers will be out on Thursday to begin cleanup efforts.
No word yet on just how much repairs will cost.
