Bay City will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all weekend long.

And for bars and restaurants, the Irish green brings in the green.

FOX66 reporter Sharisse Thompson caught up with a few folks at the bar and asked them about what the holiday meant to them.

And while people are out celebrating, it’s also important to keep safety in mind.

The Michigan State Police, as well as local law enforcement will be paying close attention to drivers this weekend, making sure that they aren’t drinking and driving.

Michigan’s "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign is in full effect this weekend.

If you can't get a designated driver, call a cab. Or download a ride-sharing app like Uber and Lyft.

The cost of an Uber or taxi pales in comparison to that of a DUI.
