Sheriff: Motorcyclist dies after being broadsided by vehicle

The Midland County Sheriff says a woman who was riding a motorcycle passed away almost three weeks after she was broadsided by a vehicle, according to a news release. (MGN)

MIDLAND COUNTY, Mich. --The Midland County Sheriff says a woman who was riding a motorcycle passed away almost three weeks after she was broadsided by a vehicle, according to a news release.

It happened Sunday, September 24 around 11 a.m. on North Meridian Road just north of M-20 in Midland County’s Homer Township.

Police say 18-year-old Lexis Miller was waiting to turn left out of the Shell gas station parking lot when she broadsided 60-year-old Vickie Berry, who was riding a motorcycle northbound at the time.

Berry was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

She passed away on Monday, October 9.

Miller and her three passengers weren’t hurt in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
