TUSCOLA COUNTY, Mich. --Residents are on high alert following two break-ins in Tuscola County.

The most recent incident was reported Saturday in the southern end of Tuscola County.

The other incident was reported Thursday on Waltan Road in Vassar Township between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Several long guns and pistols were stolen.

The investigation showed that the suspect gained entry into the home by forcing a door open.

The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties who has short dark hair, and no facial hair.

Neighbors say he was driving what is believed to be an early 2000 Ford Taurus.

Another neighbor said the suspect is posing as a satellite television salesperson, but didn’t look professional.

Deputies say evidence was gathered at both scenes linking the subject in the maroon car to the breaking and entering.
