Seminar focuses on building relationships between local businesses and the news media

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Businesses can learn strategies on how to work with the local news media at an upcoming seminar.

NBC25-FOX66-CW46 will explain how building relationships with journalists in an evolving media landscape is essential to the success of your business communications. The presentation will take place Tuesday, May 22nd at the Saginaw Country Club, 4465 Gratiot Avenue, Saginaw.

General Manager Chad Conklin, News Director Mike Schram, and Marketing Director Jamie Salamon will discuss writing effective news releases, using social media, marketing for all budget levels, and communicating with journalists. NBC25 news anchor Dave Bondy will emcee the event.

The seminar is part of the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce’s Big Strategies for Small Business lecture series. Networking begins at 11:30am. The lunch and hour-long program starts at noon. Cost is $20 for Saginaw chamber members and $25 for non-members.
