Second Saginaw priest suspended following allegations of sexual assault
SAGINAW, Mich. --Another Saginaw priest has been suspended following allegations of sexual abuse, according to a news release from the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw.
Seventy-two-year-old Father Ronald Dombrowski has been suspended from practicing ministry by Bishop Joseph Cistone.
An individual came forward and said that they were allegedly abused by Father Dombrowski when they were a minor. This individual is no longer a minor.
The individual contacted the Diocese about the alleged abuse on Thursday, March 15.
Father Dombrowski was immediately suspended after the Diocese learned of the allegations. He's not yet been arraigned, but the Diocese has made law enforcement aware of the allegations.
In the meantime, he can’t serve or present himself as a priest. He is also not allowed to have contact with anyone under the age of 21.
Father Dombrowski most recently served at Holy Family Parish in Saginaw, but he's also served at other churches throughout the Saginaw-area and the Thumb.
