It was all about running shoes and personal bests in Bay City Sunday morning.

While some people had been partying in the city all weekend, others came to town to participate in the annual St. Patrick’s Day races.

NBC25/FOX66’s Miranda Parnell caught up with some runners who'd just finished up the 5K race to find out what it's like to see the city thriving.

6-year old Brystal already has her post-race plans set.

Joining hundreds of other runners, Brystal and her mom are keeping up a tradition by running the St. Patrick’s Day races in Bay City as a family.

With thousands pouring into town for the race and parade, Bay City is getting its fair share of tourism cash this weekend.

Local runners say it's good to see the area get some love.

With lines pouring out of restaurants and green flooding the streets, families in Bay City say it's just nice to see everyone having a good time.
