Pistons owner donates thousands of toys to children in need
GENESEE, Mich. – It's the season of giving, and for many that means donating a few toys to those in need.
For one family it means donating 10,000 toys.
They were delivered Wednesday in Flint and Detroit and will now go to families in need.
This is all thanks to Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores and his wife Holly.
For eight years now the couple have been partnering with Toys for Tots to make this happen.
"Every child deserves to open a Christmas present on Christmas morning and we are happy to be here the most important I know from Tom and Holly is just to encourage others to support and contribute to community,” Gores’ cousin Tanya VanHorn.
To date, the Gores family's partnership with Toys for Tots has delivered more than 80,000 toys to more than 32,000 children.
