MSP members lend a hand during National Women Build Week
Members of the Michigan State Police grabbed a hammer to help out during National Women Build Week.
They were completing a garage in the Saginaw area with the Saginaw Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity group.
This program can train and equip women to work more effectively, which will help Habitat for Humanity increase its capacity and serve more families in the area.
"The state police are certainly committed to protect and serve and part of that service sometimes includes community service, so we have an opportunity to really interact with people in the community,” said Bonnie Kanicki.
Habitat for Humanity women build continues all week.
