Hard-to-recycle items collected during county-wide recycling day
GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. --Saturday marked countywide recycling day in Genesee County.
People had the chance to bring back the items at the Flint East Water Service Center and Bentley High School.
The event allowed people to bring back hard to recycle items.
That included things such as household hazardous waste, electronics, tires, and appliances.
These items are often harmful to the environment, so bringing them to the event provides people the chance to responsibly recycle them.
Last year more than 465,000 pounds of waste was collected for Genesee County Recycle Day.
