Good Samaritan teacher buys backpack for lucky kindergarten girl
FLINT, Mich. – A school shopping trip with grandma ended with a free backpack from a kind-hearted teacher for one lucky girl.
Karyn Libbrecht wrote on Facebook about the extraordinary shopping trip with her granddaughter.
While looking at backpacks in a Flint store, she saw a man standing behind them.
When asked if he was going to buy himself a girl’s backpack, he replied that he wanted to buy one for Libbrecht’s granddaughter.
The good Samaritan, later found to be Dye Elementary School teacher Lamar Brown, told them she could have “whatever she wants.”
Libbrecht posted a picture of her granddaughter with Brown on Facebook in an effort to find him so her granddaughter could send him a ‘thank you’ note.
The winning backpack chosen was of Minnie Mouse.
