MIDLAND, Mich. - As her father sits in jail, charged in her death, a local pizza shop in Midland is raising money to help pay for Delilah Bieski's funeral.

Court records show the 20-month-old died from abusive head trauma on October 27th.

She was laid to rest earlier this month, but those who work at Papa Johns on Saginaw Road are doing their part to help pay that bill.

"It's an event that no parent should ever have to go through, especially for a child that's under the age of two. So we just thought it would be kind of a nice thing with them being younger parents to try to help out the family, not just the parents, but grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, because paying for a funeral is not a cheap cost at all," said Papa Johns employee Charee Mellott-Simpson.

If you didn't get a chance, there is another fundraiser being held at Frick's Bar in Midland Sunday November 19, from noon until 4 p.m.
