SAGINAW, Mich.--Officer Tyler Williamson and officer Nathan Neuman may not have had the best of basketball skills this summer, but months later, they still know how keep a promise to 7-year-old Amire Rogers Perkins.

"I first met his mom, Karen, and she approached myself and Officer Williamson and said her son Amire would really like to do Shop with a Cop and meet police officers,” said officer Nathan Neuman.

Five months and a few basketball games later, here they are: two officers and one little guy on a shopping spree.

Or as Amire says, three friends.

While Amire says he admires his buddies, the officers tell NBC25/FOX66’s Amanda Chodnicki they admire him.

A good kid, who was looking for some good deals never fails to think of others and can call these two officers his pals.
