Flint school board approves plan to begin Northwestern High School closure

FLINT, Mich. - The Flint Community School Board has voted to begin the process of closing Flint Northwestern High School at the end of this school year.

The board approved a resolution requiring the superintendent to develop a plan to close and repurpose the school.

As well as come up with a plan for moving students and staff.

The closure of Northwestern is part of the district's recent deficit elimination plan, and long term financial plan.
