Flint-area mothers speak out against violence ahead of Mother's Day

In advance of a Mother's Day march in Flint Saturday, some moms who have lost children to violence, spoke out Friday afternoon.

Flint church officials along with law enforcement agencies, Crimestoppers, and mothers who have lost a child to violence attended the event.

The moms called attention to the unsolved cases of the murder their sons.

One mom is remembering her son, 19-year-old Jaquan Chambers, who was killed in 2013.

The Mother’s Day march starts at 11 a.m. in Hurley Medical Center’s parking lot.
