Councilman: Kearsley Park ‘not a hotel or motel’
FLINT, Mich. --A group of protesters camping out in a Flint park will soon be moving out.
The group called Camp Promise has been living in Kearsley Park for a little over six months to show their support for the Flint water crisis.
Councilman Wantwaz Davis visited the camp to tell them people in the community are uncomfortable about what is going on at the park.
"This is a public park for everyone but it is no hotel or motel,” said Councilman Davis.
Members of Camp Promise told Councilman Davis that it will soon be shutting down because the protest is no longer what the group set out to do and it has caused too much division.
They did not give a date for when the tents will be cleared out.
