Covenant Healthcare holds medication take back event
Saginaw, Mich-- Most of us are guilty of storing unnecessary prescription medications in our cabinet.
Doing so however, can be very dangerous for the environment and young children that can accidentally ingest the leftover medications.
"Every ten minutes a child visits the emergency room for medication poisoning," said Covenant Pharmacy Director, Terry Wernette.
Covenant Healthcare is offering a Medication Take Back Event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 800 Cooper Avenue in Saginaw.
Pills, capsules and patches are all accepted while needles, syringes and liquids are not.
Those looking to drop off medicine can walk up to the drop off or use the drive thru.
